Play Tennis. Meet Friends. Have Fun. Repeat!
Junior Group Lessons
These small group beginner and intermediate tennis lessons take place once a week, usually on weekends. Duration is 1.5 hours. Up to 4 kids, ages up to 12.
The focus is on introducing the game of tennis, learning basic and intermediate tennis skills, game rules and simple match strategies.
They are split into four segments: dynamic warm-ups, technical stroke instruction, live-ball drills, and competitive game-play.
A typical session usually includes the following:
Dynamic Warm-Up: Focused on agility, hand-eye coordination, and footwork
Technical Instruction: Focused on feeding balls to players to practice fundamental strokes
Live-Ball Drills: We transition to rallying with each other or participating in point-construction exercises, focusing on consistency, shot direction, and directional changes.
Game Play: High-energy, supervised games like "King of the Court" or team relays. This concludes the lesson with a fun, positive reinforcement, and low-pressure competition.
These sessions are usually conducted on hard courts but sometimes we play on clay courts as well.
Junior Private Lessons
Private lessons utilized the same methodology as the small group lessons but they allow me to give full attention to one child for the entire session.
These individual tennis lessons are designed for kids up to 12 years old from all levels: beginner to advanced.
Each lesson is different and tailored to the needs and level of the player.
We discuss the plan and focus for each session prior to its start.
That one-on-one focus is the clearest advantage of the format: we can observe every shot, correct every pattern, and adjust the entire session in real time.
For junior players working through a specific technical problem, private lessons are often the most direct path to a fix. A serve that keeps going long, a backhand that breaks down under pressure, a grip that's causing problems at contact: these are issues that can be addreseds efficiently in a private setting, with the kind of individualized repetition that produces mechanical change.
Private lessons also offer scheduling flexibility.
These sessions are usually conducted on hard courts but sometimes we play on clay courts as well.
What Sets Our Academy Apart
Junior Focus
My programs are exclusively designed for and focused on young and junior players
Mental Conditioning
Tennis is so much more about hitting the ball. I work with each child to teach them how to handle pressure, maintain winning attitude and have fun!
Physical Preparation
We don’t just play tennis but work on drills and exercises that build agility and endurance.
Community Involvement
Being a part of our local community and supporting it is an important part of my life.
I am proud to be closely involved with the Have Dreams Organization in Park Ridge, IL which have been serving the Autism community for over 30 years. I am working with many wonderful kids there regularly on multiple social engagement projects and currently organizing activities designed to introduce the children to the wonderful world of tennis.
